摘要： A light fixture (10) is disclosed which includes junction box (11), an annular mounting plate, a canopy (21), a collar loop (23), a collar nut (25) and a light assembly (34) which includes a length of electric cord (41). The canopy (21) includes an outer shell (29) and central winding spool (30) which is mounted concentrically within the canopy outer shell (29) and concentrically about a mounting opening (22) within the canopy (21). The central winding spool (30) has a generally cylindrical central portion (31) and an annular flange portion (32) extending from the top of the central portion (31). The slack portion of the electric cord (41) may be wound about the winding spool (30) in order to stow it in a safe and efficient manner.

摘要： A light fixture mounting system (11) is disclosed having a cover plate (14) having a pair of post holes (17) therethrough, a mounting plate (21) has two, oppositely disposed peripheral hooks or catches (25), a latch bar (31), and two threaded posts (35). Each catch (25) has a horizontal portion (27) and a vertical portion (28) extending upwardly and terminating with a tang (29). The latch bar is coupled to the cover plate (14) for reciprocal movement between an engaged position distal the cover plate and a locked position proximal the cover plate. The latch bar (31) has two internally threaded adjustment holes (32) which are configured and threaded to receive two threaded posts (35) which extend through the cover plate post holes (17). Each post has a head portion (36) which may be configured to receive the drive end of a screwdriver or may be externally configured to enable one to grasp and rotate it with ease.

摘要： A convertible modular lantern is provided which includes a mount assembly, mountable to a structure, a housing supported by the mount assembly, a downrod and light cluster assembly connected to the housing and a shade assembly attached to the housing and disposed in surrounding relationship with the downrod and light cluster assembly. The shade assembly may include a plurality of light transmitting panels. The downrod and light cluster assembly includes at least one lamp socket mounted on a support member, with a light bulb disposed in each socket, and a hollow downrod attached to and extending upwardly from the support member. A first plurality of wires is electrically coupled at one end to each socket and extends upwardly within the downrod, terminating at the opposite end in an upper electrical connector. A second plurality of wires is provided which is also coupled at one end to each socket and terminates, at the opposite end, in a lower electrical connector. The lantern further includes a third electrical connector which is engaged with and electrically connected to one of the upper and lower electrical connectors, depending upon the desired configuration of the lantern. The lantern may further include a second housing, with one housing attached to an upper portion of the shade assembly and the other housing attached to the lower portion of the shade assembly. The lantern may also include one or more decorative finials or a decorative tail.
