    摘要: A fuze is enabled, armed, and fired while indicating its status to remote command/receiver stations so that interconnected line charges and other ordnance items can be detonated with increased safety and reliability from a safe man-weapon separation distance. The fuze is responsive to remotely transmitted magneto-inductive command signals in the extremely low frequency (ELF) to very low frequency (VLF) range to change its status and to transmit magneto-inductive status signals in the ELF to VLF range confirming its status to at least one of the remote stations. Transmission and reception of magneto-inductive signals in the ELF to VLF range allow for a unique communication method that provides safe and reliable communication suitable to effect fuzing of explosive devices on the beach through seawater, air, earth, buildings, vegetation and sediment or any combination of these conditions.

    摘要: A magneto-inductive submarine communication system and buoy provide two-way signal communications between a submerged craft, such as a submarine and remote command station that may be airborne, on the surface, or on land. A buoy released from the submarine and floating on the surface of the ocean and a satellite is included to complete the bidirectional communications. Messages and commands between the submerged craft and the buoy are communicated by magneto-inductive message signals and magneto-inductive command signals in the extremely low frequency (ELF) to very low frequency (VLF) range of less than 3000 Hz. Message and command communications between the buoy and the satellite (or aircraft, or helicopter, or surface ship), and the satellite to the station are transferred via radio frequency (RF) signals or laser emissions.

    摘要: An intrusion detector has buried sensor modules arranged along a perimetero sense seismic vibrations caused by intrusions within the area defined by the perimeter. The sensor modules transmit data representative of the intrusions via magneto-inductive signals in the ELF to VLF range through ground, air, and/or water to at least one buried relay module within the area. The relay modules transmit RF signals representative of the intrusion data via a camouflaged RF antenna to mobil or fixed stations for appropriate action. Transmission of magneto-inductive signals in the ELF to VLF range is clandestine and reliable, and locations of buried sensor modules and relay modules are not revealed to intruders to reduce the possibility of evasion or tampering. The sensor modules may have sensor elements sensitive to humans, vehicles, and low flying aircraft to give enforcement officers the opportunity to better utilize their resources where the intrusions are occurring. In addition, this system could be placed along many well-used passageways, such as highways, roads, trails, air corridors, etc. to gather information regarding use of facilities and resources to help governmental officials and planners make intelligent decisions.

The weapon is equipped to maneuver through the air to a destination at the water's surface. A first transceiver, mounted onboard the weapon and coupled to the mine's logic portion, is activated after the weapon is in the water. The first transceiver can send and receive magneto-inductive signals. A second transceiver that sends and receives magneto-inductive signals is remotely located with respect to the first transceiver. Once deployed, the weapon can be controlled from a safe distance and can report any intelligence information collected by onboard sensors.

An elongate streamlined flexible bladder member has flexible hull walls and divider walls separated by uniform spaces to form fuel compartments having a fuel valve and fuel pump. The bladder member can transit submerged to a remote destination. A fuel and water tight composition in and along the spaces prevent fuel and water leaks to ambient water and between the compartments.     摘要: An integrated water sensing actuator is based on a fibrous cellulosic material having anisotropic moisture-absorbing properties such that it's dried-in strain is greatest along one axis thereof. A plug of the dry and compressed fibrous cellulosic material has a powder material coated thereon and mixed therewith. The plug is compressed along it's axis of greatest dried-in strain and is fitted in a water-permeable housing adjacent a piston. The powder material is inert with respect to the cellulosic material and initiates a chemical reaction when exposed to water such that a product of the chemical reaction is water. Immersion of the housing in water causes expansion of the plug and corresponding movement of the piston.

A transducer connected to the micro controller receives acoustic signals from a remote source to activate the micro-controller to generates preprogrammed sequences of firing signals to propagate coded messages by the high-energy broadband, acoustic signals.
