摘要: An encoding and decoding apparatus using a wavelet transformation and motion estimation is disclosed. The apparatus includes an input module for receiving an image data, a wavelet module for wavelet-transforming the image data received through the input module, an estimation/compensation module, a storage module for storing the image data being transmitted from the input module and transmitting the stored data in a request from the respective modules, an output module for outputting one bit stream by coupling the data being inputted from the wavelet module and a data corresponding to the motion vector being inputted from the storage module, and a control module for controlling operations of the respective modules. According to the present invention, though memories of small amount are used, whole image can be wavelet-transformed and a motion of a block can be estimated in real time when the encoding and decoding a moving picture at real time.

摘要: A method and apparatus for automatically compensating a sound volume are disclosed. The method includes the steps of determining whether a channel conversion key and an audio input switching key are inputted, producing an energy of an audio signal when the channel conversion key is inputted, and comparing an energy value of the audio signal detected for a predetermined time period with an energy value obtained from a previous step thereof and compensating for as much volume as a difference obtained by the comparison. The method together with the apparatus considers a symmetrical characteristic of an audio signal, calculates a voice energy with regard to a half signal of the audio signal, converts the calculated signal to a simplified value, and automatically compensates for the volume accordingly, thereby removing redundant manual steps.

摘要: A method and apparatus for automatically compensating a tone color. The method includes a first step for determining whether a channel is modified or an input audio signal is switched, a second step for calculating frequency characteristics of the input audio signal and comparing the compared result with data in a basic table, a third step for determining the input audio signal as a least error mode during the second step, and a fourth step for compensating a tone color in accordance with the determined mode. The method and apparatus automatically adjusts a tone color by determining a present tone color in itself on the ground of the frequency energy being presently applied when a channel is modified, an input audio signal is switched, or a color sound mode is modified, thereby eliminating a manual manipulation by a user as well as providing an optimal sound.
