摘要： A connector includes multiple pairs of signal contacts arranged in a housing, and facilitates the wiring design and the wiring operation for substrates. The two signal contacts in each of the multiple pairs are arranged at a distance in the longitudinal direction of the housing. With this arrangement, excellent coupling can be established between the two signal contacts, and signals can be balanced-transmitted without causing a phase difference. Also, the lengths of each pair of wires of a wiring substrate to be connected to the multiple pairs of signal contacts can be easily made uniform. Accordingly, there is no need to prepare excessive wiring areas, and the substrate wiring design and the wiring operation can be simplified.

摘要： A connector for differential transmission is disclosed. The connector includes a housing made of an insulating material, the housing including a connector connection opening on its top face, multiple signal contact pairs each including first and second signal contact members, the signal contact members each including a signal terminal part, and multiple ground contact members each including ground terminal parts. The signal contact pairs and the ground contact members are disposed alternately in the housing so that the signal terminal parts of the first and second signal contact members of the signal contact pairs and the ground terminal parts of the ground contact members are provided on the side of the bottom face of the housing. The signal terminal parts of the first and second signal contact members extend in the same direction in each signal contact pair.

摘要： A high speed transmission connector including several signal contact pairs arranged in a parallel array, each including a pair of signal contacts constituting a balanced transmission line; several ground contacts, each being arranged between two signal contact pairs arranged in the parallel array; and an electro-insulating body supporting the signal contact pairs and the ground contacts. Each signal contact is provided with a contacting section at one longitudinal end for conductive contact with a corresponding signal contact of a counterpart connector, a board connecting section at another longitudinal end for connection with a conductor on a circuit board, and an attaching section between the contacting section and the board connecting section for an attachment to the body. All of the board connecting sections of the signal contacts are disposed along a first lateral surface of the body. The signal contacts of the signal contact pairs are individually covered, at least partially, by materials having dielectric constants different from each other, in certain regions defined between board connecting sections and attaching sections.

The card-edge plug connector includes a plurality of pairs of plug-type signal pads, a plurality of slits arranged alternately with said plurality of pairs of plug-type signal pads, at least one plug-type ground layer and a plurality of signal patterns each extending from a respective one of said plug-type signal pads. The connector assembly has a strip-line structure. Also, virtual ground planes are created at a region between each pair of the plurality of pairs of plug-type signal pads.
