Abstract: A lead-acid storage battery of improved capacity and prolonged life span is provided. The battery has separators characterized in that at least part of each separator, adhering closely to the surface of a positive plate, is composed of a flexible sheet provided with a plurality of microporous openings of a size sufficiently small to prevent finely divided particles of the anode active material from passing therethrough.
