Abstract: An apparatus for applying negative pressure to a tissue site proximate a patient's foot may include a tissue interface, a sole, a toe box, a cover, and an interface. The tissue interface may be configured to be circumferentially disposed around the tissue site. The sole may be configured to support the tissue interface. The toe box may be coupled to the sole. The cover may be configured to be coupled to the leg and to the sole to cover the tissue interface. The cover and the sole may form a chamber containing the tissue interface and may seal the tissue interface within the chamber. The interface may be configured to fluidly couple the tissue interface to a source of negative pressure, which can be delivered to the tissue interface for distribution to the tissue site.

Abstract: An apparatus for applying negative pressure to a tissue site of a patient may include a tissue interface, a cover, an aperture in the cover, and a sealing member. The tissue interface may have an anatomical shape configured to cover the tissue site. The cover may be configured to cover the tissue interface. The aperture in the cover may be fluidly coupled to the tissue interface. The sealing member may be configured to seal the cover to the patient, wherein the cover and the sealing member are configured to cooperate to form a sealed chamber containing the tissue interface. The tissue interface may be coupled to a source of negative pressure, which can be delivered to the tissue interface for distribution to the tissue site. The source of negative pressure may be coupled to the cover of the apparatus.

Abstract: A method for calculating range of motion of a patient's jointed limb includes providing one or more locators at an upper limb of the jointed limb, and one or more of the locators at a lower limb of the jointed limb. A first image of the patient's joint in a fully extended position a second image of the patient's joint in a fully flexed position are captured with an imaging device. The method includes identifying positions of the locators of both the first image and the second image, and determining an extended angle of the patient's joint based on the identified positions of the locators of the first image. The method includes determining a flexed angle of the patient's joint based on the identified positions of the locators of the second image. The method includes determining a range of motion angle based on the extended angle and the flexed angle.

Abstract: A cover for sealing a tissue site may include a shell having a first side, a second side, and an edge between the first side and the second side; an adhesive disposed on the first side; and a release liner adjacent to the adhesive. The release liner may comprise a flap folded over at least a portion of the edge of the shell. The flap may be configured to prevent the adhesive from migrating past the portion of the edge of the shell. In some examples, the shell, the adhesive, and the release liner can be folded, and the flap can be at least partially disposed between a first portion and a second portion of the second side of the shell. The cover may additionally comprise a sealing layer with apertures disposed between the adhesive and the release liner in some embodiments.

Abstract: A dressing for managing an incision and surrounding tissue where edema and swelling may be present post-operation. The dressing may maximize coverage of area in articulating joints, such as a knee or elbow, while allowing for substantial range of motion. In some embodiments, the dressing may comprise an adhesive border configured to be adhered to skin around an articulating joint, a skin-interfacing fabric for minimizing skin irritation, a foam body for manifolding negative pressure and absorbing exudate and other body fluids, and a thin polymer film cap for sealing the assembly so negative pressure can be maintained throughout the dressing.

Abstract: A manifold for use with a dressing for treating an area around an extremity of a patient may include a concave recess positioned at a first end of the manifold. A fold axis may bisect the concave recess and extend from the first end of the manifold to a second end of the manifold. A first portion of the manifold may extend orthogonal to the fold axis toward a first side of the manifold, and a second portion of the manifold may extend orthogonal to the fold axis toward a second side of the manifold opposite to the first side. Abstract: In some examples, a dressing assembly suitable for treating a tissue site may include a dressing bolster, a sealing skin, and a gasket member. The sealing skin may cover at least a portion of a first side of the dressing bolster while an opposing second side of the dressing bolster may be configured to be positioned in fluid communication with the tissue site. The gasket member may be configured to create a sealed space between the sealing skin and the tissue site. In some examples, the sealing skin may be liquid impermeable and integrally formed with the dressing bolster. Further, in some examples, the dressing bolster may have a contoured shape including a tissue housing. Other systems, dressings, apparatuses, and methods are disclosed.
