摘要： Silver halide emulsions are disclosed comprising tabular silver halide grains containing dislocation lines in the peripheral region of the major faces; the tabular grains comprising a high iodide phase which is internal to and along the dislocation lines and an internal region which is surrounded by the high iodide phase and comprised of substantially homogeneous silver halide phase and having an average iodide content of not more than 1 mol %. Silver halide photographic materials by the use of the emulsion are also disclosed.
