Abstract: A vacuum cleaner nozzle (N) has a steering hinge arrangement (H1, H2) between a body (B) of the vacuum cleaner nozzle (N) and a connector (C) that is connectable to a unit having a handle, wherein the steering hinge arrangement (H1, H2) comprises first (H1) and second (H2) steering hinges, the first steering hinge (H1) being operational until a first steering angle, and the second steering hinge (H2) being operational from the first steering angle, a transmission ratio of the second steering hinge (H2) exceeding a transmission ratio of the first steering hinge (H1). As a result, a transmission ratio of the steering hinge arrangement (H1, H2) increases with an increasing steering angle also when the unit is substantially flat. The first steering angle may be determined by edges (E) on the first steering hinge (H1) interacting with a protrusion (P) on the second steering hinge (H2). A force exercised by a spring (S) between the second steering hinge (H2) and the body (B) may hamper the second steering hinge (H2) from being fully engaged before the first steering hinge (H1) has reached the first steering angle. The first steering hinge (H1) may be mounted at a larger angle with respect to a longitudinal axis of the connector (C) than the second steering hinge (H2). A vacuum cleaner advantageously comprises such a vacuum cleaner nozzle (N).

Abstract: The present invention relates to hair removal, and in particular to a handheld hair removal apparatus. In order to reduce pain during hair removal, the handheld hair removal apparatus comprises a hair removal arrangement, a support structure and a skin stretching device attached to the support structure and comprising at least two leading surface portions for skin contacting and stretching. The apparatus has a main movement direction in which the apparatus is to be moved relative to skin during use. The hair removal arrangement comprises a skin contact portion for contacting a user's skin during operation, wherein the skin contact portion extends at least along a primary axis extending perpendicularly to the main movement direction During operation, the skin stretching device provides a stretched skin portion between the at least two leading surface portions.

Abstract: In a vacuum cleaner nozzle (N) comprising one or more rear wheels (RW), a hinge (H3) is arranged to lift all one or more rear wheels (RW) from a floor (F) when a suction tube (ST) connected to the nozzle (N) is rotated around a longitudinal axis of the suction tube (ST), e.g. after the nozzle (N) has been rotated by more than 45° by means of a further hinge (H2) in order to position a relatively short side of the nozzle at the front of the nozzle in the nozzle's motion direction so that the nozzle is able to clean relatively small spaces that could not be entered if a relatively long side of the nozzle is at the front of the nozzle in the nozzle's motion direction. If the one or more rear wheels (RW) comprise at least two rear wheels, the hinge (H3) is arranged for simultaneously lifting the rear wheels (RW) from the floor (F). Preferably, the hinge (H3) is bi-stable, to which end the hinge (H3) may be provided with magnets (M1-2, M3-4) or a bi-stable spring (S) to fix the hinge (H3) either in a first position in which the one or more rear wheels (RW) are arranged to touch the floor (F), or in a second position in which the one or more rear wheels (RW) are arranged to be lifted from the floor (F). A vacuum cleaner advantageously comprises such a nozzle.

Abstract: A nozzle device intended for use in a cleaning appliance such as a vacuum cleaner is described. The nozzle device can be moved over a surface to be cleaned. The nozzle device includes at least one light-emitting source arranged at a side of the nozzle device, and the at least one light-emitting source emits light from the respective side of the nozzle device. The nozzle device further includes a controlling arrangement for varying, at least one parameter of the at least one light-emitting source in relation to actual circumstances of a cleaning action between a functional value and at least one default value which is different from the functional value, and for setting the functional value of the parameter when the respective side is in the vicinity of an obstacle on the surface to be cleaned.

Abstract: A nozzle arrangement faces a surface to be cleaned includes a first suction body and a second suction body located at a distance relative to each other. The nozzle arrangement further includes a level setting mechanism that puts the first suction body and the second suction body at different overall levels relative to the surface in a normal, operational orientation of the nozzle arrangement on the surface. In this way, cleaning performance of the nozzle arrangement can be improved. Additionally, or alternatively, it is possible to have a suction enhancing mechanism for at least partially closing at least one of the first suction body and the second suction body to one of the surface and an internal air conduit of the nozzle arrangement.
