Abstract: Provided are an electrolyte which includes a linear organic carbonate compound having a specific substituent, an electrolyte additive, and a lithium salt, has a flash point of 70° C. or higher, and shows an ionic conductivity of 0.05 mS/cm or higher at room temperature in a polyolefin based commercial separator condition, and a lithium secondary battery including the same.
