Abstract: An image forming system includes an image forming apparatus configured to form an image and a server coupled to the image forming apparatus so as to be communicable with the image forming apparatus. The server includes a server storage unit configured to store a list of the identification symbol given to the consumable member, a server reception unit configured to receive the data regarding the identification symbol transmitted from the image forming apparatus transmission unit, a determination unit configured to determine whether or not there is an identification symbol corresponding to the data regarding the identification symbol received by the server reception unit in the list of the identification symbol stored in the server storage unit, and a control unit configured to, if the determination unit determines that there is the identification symbol, perform control to make the consumable member usable.

Abstract: An image forming system includes a plurality of processing apparatuses. An image forming apparatus includes an image forming section, storage, an acquiring section, a first specifying section, a receiver, a second specifying section, and a notifying section. The storage stores therein a position of each of the processing apparatuses. The acquiring section acquires state information from each of the processing apparatuses. The state information indicates whether a corresponding one of the processing apparatuses is in a normal function state or a malfunction state. The first specifying section specifies, from among the processing apparatuses, a malfunctioning processing apparatus for which the malfunction state is indicated by the state information. The second specifying section specifies a relative position of the malfunctioning processing apparatus with respect to a mobile terminal device. The notifying section notifies of specific information relating to the relative position specified by the second specifying section.

Abstract: An image-forming apparatus includes a paper jam detection portion, a paper jam processing portion, an image rereading control portion, and an image re-forming control portion. When images are formed based on image data on documents, the paper jam detection portion detects whether a paper jam occurs or not during the forming of the images. When the paper jam is determined to occur as a result of the determination, the paper jam processing portion prompts a user to cause reading of image data on printed matters. The image rereading control portion reads pieces of the image data on the printed matters placed in an automatic document feed portion. The image re-forming control portion checks the pieces of the image data on the printed matters against corresponding pieces of the image data on the documents and to re-form an image based on an unmatched piece of the image data on the document.
