Abstract: A monitoring system detects an event happening to a detection target. The monitoring system includes an imaging device, storage, and a controller. The imaging device captures an image of an imaging area including the detection target to generate captured image data indicating a captured image. The storage stores therein a detection range in the captured image. The controller detects a change to the captured image in the detection range based on the captured image data. The detection range includes a detection target image exhibiting the detection target. Upon detecting a change to the captured image in the detection range, the controller changes the detection range so that the detection range encloses the detection target image.

Abstract: A monitoring system includes a plurality of cameras and a control device. The control device includes device storage, an output device, and an input device. The device storage stores therein an image captured by each camera of the plurality of cameras. The output device displays an image exhibiting a positional relationship of the plurality of cameras. The input device sets tracking information for tracking a specific tracking target in the captured images to one camera among the plurality of cameras. When an imaginary movement line is input on the image exhibiting the positional relationship of the cameras, the input device sets the tracking information to one or more cameras corresponding to the imaginary movement line among the plurality of cameras other than the one camera.

Abstract: A monitoring system includes a first imaging device, a second imaging device, and a controller. The first imaging device captures an image of a first imaging area to generate first captured image data indicating a first captured image. The second imaging device captures an image of a second imaging area to generate second captured image data indicating a second captured image. The controller detects the events. The events include a pre-event. The pre-event is an imaging obstruction act in which imaging is obstructed in the first imaging area. The controller calculates a first obstruction area rate, and calculates a second obstruction area rate. When the first obstruction area rate is equal to or greater than a threshold and the second obstruction area rate is less than the threshold, the controller detects the imaging obstruction act as the pre-event.

Abstract: A monitoring system includes an imaging device, a controller, storage, and a notifying section. The imaging device captures an image of an imaging area to generate captured image data indicating a captured image. The controller detects events based on the captured image data. The events include a pre-event and a post-event detected after the pre-event has ended. The controller changes a first flag from an off state to an on state upon detecting the pre-event, and holds the first flag in the on state even after the pre-event has ended. The controller changes the second flag from the off state to the on state upon detecting the post-event, and directs the notifying section to notify of consecutive event occurrence information indicating that consecutive events have occurred.

Abstract: A login support system includes an electronic apparatus, a camera, a storage unit, and a control unit that includes a processor and acts, when the processor executes a login support control program, as a face authentication section, a gesture determination section, and a controller. The face authentication section extracts a face image of a person from a captured image captured by the camera and, when the extracted face image coincides with any of pieces of face information stored in the storing unit, authenticates the extracted face image. The gesture determination section detects a gesture of a person on a basis of the captured image and determines whether the detected gesture coincides with a prescribed gesture. When the face image of the person is authenticated and the gesture of the person is determined as coinciding with the prescribed gesture, the controller permits a login to the electronic apparatus to that person.

Abstract: A surveillance terminal apparatus includes a storage unit, a communication unit, a picture identifier, a reader, a facial recognition processor, a display unit, and a playback controller. The picture identifier identifies, as an entry picture and an exit picture, a part of the picture of a target person shot by an imaging device and stored in the storage unit. The facial recognition processor identifies both of the entry picture and the exit picture of the same target person, by performing facial recognition with respect to the entry picture and the exit picture read out by the reader. The playback controller changes playback times of the pictures corresponding to actual length of the pictures to the same playback time, when a difference between the playback times of the respective pictures exceeds a threshold, and causes the display unit to simultaneously play back both of the pictures side by side.

Abstract: A monitoring system includes: a camera, a storage section, and a control unit. The camera photographs an object. The storage section stores a first photographed image photographed by the camera and a second photographed image photographed by the camera at a same photographing place of a photographing place of the first photographed image after the photographing of the first photographed image. The control unit includes a processor and, through execution of a control program by the processor, functions as an obstacle determination section and a control section. The obstacle determination section calculates a difference between the first photographed image and the second photographed image and determines, based on the difference, whether or not an obstacle is present in a photographing range of the camera. The control section performs, upon determination by the obstacle determination section that the obstacle is present, processing of reporting results of the determination.
