The information reading portion (6) is stored in a front of the image reading portion (2) and reads information of a user. The reading cover (61) covers the information reading portion (6). A first area including surfaces of the reading cover (61) and the operation portion (5) and a second area including surfaces of the image reading portion (2), the image forming portion (3), and the in-body discharge portion (7) are substantially different in outer appearance.

A sheet feed cassette is a sheet feed cassette in which a sheet is stored, the sheet feed cassette being mountable to and detachable from an image forming apparatus, the sheet feed cassette including a mounting portion and a cover. The mounting portion is formed so as to be recessed in a front surface of the sheet feed cassette. One or a plurality of information display members on which information concerning the sheet is described can be inserted to and pulled out from the mounting portion. The cover is capable of opening/closing relative to the mounting portion and has a surface flush with the front surface of the sheet feed cassette in a state where the cover is closed.

An image forming apparatus according to one aspect of this disclosure has a sensor unit, a program registration unit, and a judgment unit. The sensor unit detects removal of an option device, which is configured to be attachable/detachable to/from a body portion of the image forming apparatus, with respect to the body portion. The program registration unit receives a setting relating to processing which is executable by the image forming apparatus, and then generates programs which cause the image forming apparatus to execute the processing based on the received setting and also causes a storage unit of the image forming apparatus to store the generated programs. The judgment unit judges, when the sensor unit detects removal of the option devices, whether at least one of the programs to be stored in the storage unit becomes non-executable due to the removal of the option devices.

An operation guide label is made to perform a display urging a seal member for sealing a toner replenishment port of a toner container received in an image forming apparatus to be pulled out. The image forming apparatus has a first side surface provided with a power switch and a second side surface adjacent to the first side surface and provided with an opening and closing cover for toner container exchange. The seal member has a grasping part which protrudes from a surface of the toner container. The operation guide label includes a first label part adhered to the first side surface so as to cover at least a part of the power switch, a second label part adhered to a predetermined surface part on the side of the opening and closing cover in the image forming apparatus, and a connection part for connecting the both label.
