摘要： A color liquid crystal projector has an optical system for color splitting. The optical system includes a mirror for reflecting a first primary-color light and transmitting second and third primary-color lights in light from a light source; a first phase plate for transmitting the second primary-color light from the mirror with its polarization degree rotated through 90°, and for transmitting the third primary-color light; a first prism for transmitting the second primary-color light from the first phase plate into a second liquid crystal display panel, and reflecting the third primary-color light from the first phase plate into a third liquid crystal display panel; a second prism for entering the first primary-color light from the mirror into a first liquid crystal display panel; and a dichroic prism for combining the first, second and third primary-color lights reflected from the liquid crystal display panels.

摘要： The present invention provides an image display device which can realize the stabilization of system electric power, and can suppress crosstalk attributed to voltage drop of power source line by preventing the irregularities in power consumption which occur with time. The image display device includes a plurality of pixels each of which includes a current-drive-type light emitting element, a plurality of signal lines which writes an image voltage in the respective pixels; and a write pixel selection means which selects the pixels in which the image voltage is written via the plurality of signal lines among the plurality of pixels with respect to every display line, and the image display device includes a power source line which supplies electricity to the light emitting elements in the respective pixels arranged on each display line, and a power source circuit which supplies a voltage having a ramp waveform whose voltage level is changed with time with respect to the power source line during a light emission period. The power source line is provided for every display line, and a phase of the voltage having the ramp waveform differs for every power source line.

The polarization splitters further separate the polarization converted output light in either an outputting direction or a non-outputting direction corresponding to the polarization, and the color separation and composition elements are arranged as separate elements in terms of optical path and in such a manner that these elements are disposed adjacent to each other in terms of space.
