摘要： An image forming system is given, in advance, unique setting as a behavior to be performed when an error occurs regarding postprocessing. In a case where the postprocessing becomes inexecutable during the operation of the system, the system either cancels the postprocessing to continue printing (Steps S20, S22) or stops printing to generate an error (Step S18), based on the unique setting. A user arbitrarily decides the unique setting, which enables optimum control of the operation that the system should perform when the postprocessing becomes inexecutable.

摘要： In an image forming device, images of originals up to an upper limit number of stapling are read (S1 to S5) and image data thereof are processed (S6 to S8). If a paper sensor has detected a subsequent original even when the number of pages of the read images reaches NS0 (S1, S2), a finisher discharges a bundle of printed papers without stapling. Consequently, the number of the printed papers included in the discharged bundle is made less than the upper limit number. In a case where the number of the printed papers sent to the finisher (S12, S13) is less than a set number NS1 (S15), the bundle is discharged without being stapled after the number of the printed papers reaches NS1 (S17).

摘要： An image forming apparatus is provided that selects a paper feeding stage forcibly continued through an operating section when a paper error occurs (step S11). Here, when a user selects the paper feeding stage forcibly continued (Yes), the image forming apparatus sets “FORCED CONTINUATION SCREEN” (step S12), in order to suspend a printing operation without starting, even if the paper feeding stage is replenished with paper and the paper size is changed from this time on. When the user finally confirms the forced continuation (step S13=Yes), the image forming apparatus feeds paper from the paper feeding stage selected by the user to perform a printing operation.
