An image carrier unit includes: an image carrier; a cleaning roller collecting a residual toner remaining on a circumferential surface of the image carrier; a conveyance member receiving the residual toner and conveying the residual toner towards a one-end part side in a rotation-axis direction of the cleaning roller; and an operating mechanism making the cleaning roller perform thrust operation in the rotation-axis direction. The cleaning roller is obtained by spirally winding, around a roller circumferential surface a plurality of times, a base cloth of a long shape in which a plurality of brush bristles are implanted, and a plurality of wound areas formed on the roller circumferential surface by the winding have a downstream side of the roller circumferential surface in a side view from a direction orthogonal to a rotating shaft is directed towards the one-end part side in the rotation-axis direction.

A developing device includes a developing container, a first agitating/conveying member, a second agitating/conveying member, a developer supply member, a supply port, and a supply section. The developing container is separated into a developer supply passage, a first conveying chamber, and a second conveying chamber, which are arranged substantially parallel to one another. The supply section is disposed between the developer supply passage and the first conveying chamber, and through the supply section, the developer is supplied from the developer supply passage into the first conveying chamber. The supply section is disposed upstream from a downstream-side end portion of the developer supply passage but downstream from the supply port with respect to a developer-conveying direction of the developer supply passage, and via the supply section, the developer supply member supplies the developer into the first conveying chamber in a direction opposite to a developer-conveying direction of the first conveying chamber.

An image forming apparatus includes a housing with an inner space, a photosensitive drum, a drum unit, a rail member, and a static eliminator. The photosensitive drum includes a rotating shaft, and a circumferential surface to be drivingly rotated around the rotating shaft for carrying an image thereon. The drum unit is inserted in the inner space of the housing along an axis direction of the rotating shaft in a state that the photosensitive drum is integrally supported to be mounted in the inner space. The rail member extends along the axis direction in the inner space for guiding the drum unit in the axis direction when the drum unit is mounted. The static eliminator is fixed to the rail member, and disposed to face the photosensitive drum in the drum unit mounted in the inner space for irradiating the circumferential surface of the photosensitive drum with static eliminating light.

The connector unit is provided on the wall portion for electrical connection between the apparatus main body and the support unit.
