Abstract: A cradle can be used to capture video of an object, such as hair. That video can then be used to extract and visualize color information relating to that material using a colorcloud. The colorcloud contains all the colors that were present in one or more frames of the video. The cradle comprises a video recording device that is able to see the material through a window on the cradle. A smartphone can be used with the cradle to act as the video recording device, as well as provide lighting.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for obtaining optical properties of skin on a human face through face video analysis. Video of the face is captured, landmarks on the face and tracked, regions-of-interest are defined and tracked using the landmarks, some measurements/optical properties are obtained, the time-based video is transformed into an angular domain, and additional measurements/optical properties are obtained. Such optical properties can be measured using video in real-time or video that has been pre-recorded.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for gamifying the process of annotating videos for maintaining engagement in the annotation process and increasing the quality and quantity of an annotated data set. Methods for gamifying annotation of gestures in a video comprise determining gamified feedback based on an input and presenting the gamified feedback to an operator to keep the operator engaged in the annotation process. Methods for gamifying annotation of self-perception gestures in a video by a subject are able to be performed by the subject without the requirement of an operator, in which case the method captures an aspect of the subject's experience and the gamification maintains or increases the subject's engagement with the annotation process. Annotated data sets are used to train artificial intelligence and machine learning systems for automated detection and characterization of subjects' gestures and self-perception gestures.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a computer-implemented method of presenting an achievable eyebrow is provided. A computing system receives an indication of an eyebrow mimetic for a subject. The computing system positions the eyebrow mimetic on an image of a face of the subject. The computing system determines an achievable eyebrow by determining one or more modifications to a bare eyebrow of the subject within maximum modification parameters to make the bare eyebrow more like the eyebrow mimetic. The computing system generates a presentation of the achievable eyebrow.
