Abstract: The present disclosure relates to hair cosmetic compositions comprising: (a) at least one sugar alcohol: (b) at least one saccharide compound, and mixtures thereof; (c) pectin; (d) at least one water-soluble solvent; and (e) water. The hair cosmetic compositions provide excellent hair styling benefits without requiring synthetic film-forming polymers and/or silicones. In particular, the hair cosmetic compositions are useful for imparting to hair, durable styling or shaping benefits, curl definition, curl regularity, shape/styling control, shine, and frizz control.
