Abstract: A cosmetic kit includes a composition that includes a wax emulsion and a polymer. The kit further includes an applicator with a plurality of bristles. At least one of the bristles is made of a thermoplastic elastomer having a hardness in a range of 32 shore D to 38 shore D. Also disclosed is a method of applying a cosmetic compound. The method includes the step of depositing the cosmetic compound on an applicator, wherein the composition includes a wax emulsion and a polymer. The applicator includes a plurality of bristles, and at least one of the bristles is formed from a thermoplastic elastomer having a hardness in a range of 32 shore D to 38 shore D. The method further includes the step of brushing the applicator against a keratin fiber to transfer the cosmetic compound from the applicator to the keratin fiber.

Abstract: A mascara packaging set includes a container with a wiper having an aperture and a mascara composition stored within the container. The mascara composition includes a wax emulsion, at least one polymer, and fibers and has a viscosity in a range of 10,000 cps to 20,000 cps. The kit also includes an applicator configured to extend into the container through the aperture. The applicator has an elongate core and bristles extending radially therefrom. At least one of the bristles is formed from a thermoplastic elastomer having a hardness in the range of 32 shore D to 38 shore D. The bristles form rows along the core in an axial direction, wherein rows of a first pair of adjacent rows are spaced farther apart from each other in a circumferential direction than a second pair of adjacent rows. The first pair of adjacent rows define a reservoir.

Abstract: A flexible handle for makeup applicator, in particular a mascara applicator enables a sweeping motion of a mascara brush with just a gesture from the fingertips. An apparatus for applying mascara to eyelashes includes a stem having a longitudinal stem axis with a first end and a second end, an applicator head coupled to the second end of the stem, a flexible handle coupled to the first end of the stem. The flexible handle includes a first part made of a semi-rigid material and a second part made of a flexible material. The flexible handle is of a structure that inhibits twisting while being bent in either of two directions.
