Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for preparing a polyalkylene carbonate. More specifically, provided is a method for preparing a polyalkylene carbonate in which after polymerization of polyalkylene carbonate, a mixture from which unreacted carbon dioxide and residual catalyst have been removed is charged into a stripper to remove the unreacted epoxide compound, and then heat-exchanged before removing the solvent to increase the temperature of the mixture stream to the maximum level, which is subjected to a heating step, following by a solvent removal step, whereby the amount of steam required in the heating step is reduced, side reactions due to unreacted epoxide compounds are prevented, and steam energy can be reduced in the solvent removal step.

Abstract: The present invention provides an ethylene separation process comprising an first and second deethanizer columns and an acetylene converter, thereby providing an ethylene stream having a purity of 99 wt % or more to the middle of an ethylene separation column. The present invention increases the production amount of ethylene and also reduces energy consumption by passing the feed through a preliminary ethylene separation process, without having to change existing facilities in which an acetylene converter is provided downstream of the deethanizer column.

Abstract: The present application relates to a method for removing an unreacted vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) in polyvinyl chloride (PVC). According to an illustrative stripping apparatus and a stripping method using the stripping apparatus of the present application, in a stripping process using steam, a temperature difference between a raw material including a target substance to be removed and steam is minimized to suppress foam generation in the stripping process, thereby increasing efficiency of removing the target substance to be removed, particularly, an unreacted VCM in PVC. In addition, a cleansing cycle to remove foams generated in the stripping apparatus can be reduced, thereby not only securing economic feasibility of the process, but also preventing degradation in quality of a final product that may occur when an antifoamer to remove the foams is used.
