    Abstract: Disclosed is a flexible display device that includes a backplane substrate having an active area and a non-display area outside the display area, the active area having a plurality of pixels defined with a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines, wherein the backplane substrate is defined with a folding axis with reference to which the display device is folded or bended and a folding area in which a radius of curvature remains substantially the same as a radius of curvature at the folding axis located at a center of the folding area when the display device is folded or bended; a plurality of embedded drivers on the backplane substrate in the non-display area, wherein two of the embedded drivers are spaced apart from each other outside the folding area with the folding area therebetween; and a plurality of link wires between the plurality of embedded drivers and the active area, electrically connecting the plurality of embedded drivers and one of the plurality of gate lines and the plurality of data lines.
