Abstract: A display panel and a display device having the display panel are provided. The display panel includes two or more signal lines arranged in a column direction in a display area, two or more link lines arranged in a non-display area to be electrically connected to the two or more signal lines or to extend from the two or more signal lines, and two or more pads arranged in the non-display area to be electrically connected to the two or more link lines, and at least one of the two or more link lines extends in a diagonal direction in a pad area in which the two or more pads are located. Accordingly, it is possible to decrease the size of the non-display area to enable a narrow bezel design.

Abstract: A disclosed display device includes a data driver configured to receive data signals corresponding to an input image and to output a first data signal corresponding to a first portion of the input image to be displayed. The display device also includes a display panel having a plurality of data lines and a display area configured to display the first portion of the input image based on the first data signal from the data driver. The data driver is further configured to cut off a second data signal corresponding to a second portion of the input image substantially outside the display area of the display panel from being output.

Abstract: A circuit has a first portion configured to act as a shift register to provide an output signal via an output terminal, and a second portion configured to act as an inverter to invert the output signal at the output terminal of said first portion from a logic high state to a logic low state or vice versa. This is to forcibly turn off one or more transistors in a pixel circuit that provides subpixel or pixel-related control in an OLED display, such that an anode voltage of an organic light emitting diode does not exceed a turn-on voltage thereof.
