An electroluminescent display device includes a substrate; a pixel having a first lateral side and a second lateral side that intersects the first lateral side, the pixel including an emitting diode disposed over the substrate, the emitting diode including a first electrode, an emitting layer on the first electrode, and a second electrode on the emitting layer; an insulating pattern overlapping the first lateral side of the pixel and covering a first end of the first electrode at the first lateral side of the pixel; and a bank surrounding the pixel, wherein the bank overlaps the insulating pattern at the first lateral side of the pixel, and the bank at the second lateral side of the pixel covers a second end of the first electrode.

An electroluminescent display device includes a substrate; a first electrode on the substrate; a connection pattern on the substrate, the connection pattern comprising a same material as the first electrode; a bank covering edges of the first electrode and the connection pattern; an auxiliary bank on the bank corresponding to the connection pattern; a light-emitting layer on the first electrode; and a second electrode on the light-emitting layer, the bank, and the auxiliary bank, wherein the auxiliary bank has a reversely inclined side surface, and wherein the light-emitting layer includes a hole auxiliary layer, a light-emitting material layer, and an electron auxiliary layer, the electron auxiliary layer has an opening exposing the connection pattern, and the second electrode contacts the connection pattern through the hole.

An organic light emitting diode display device includes a first substrate including a display region, wherein a plurality of pixel regions are defined in the display region; a first electrode over the first substrate and in each of the plurality of pixel regions; a first bank on edges of the first electrode and including an insulating material blocking penetration of light; a second bank on the first bank and including an insulating material having a hydrophobic property; an organic light emitting layer on the first electrode and a portion of the first bank; and a second electrode on the organic light emitting layer and covering an entire surface of the display region.
