Abstract: In an embodiment, a backlight unit includes a light-emitting device and lower reflector on a substrate. The lower reflector has a hole that accommodates and exposes the light-emitting device. The lower reflector may have a height greater than a height of the light-emitting device. The backlight unit may include a color resin in the holes and on the light-emitting device. The backlight unit may include a light path modulator above the light emitting device and on the color resin. The light path modulator may have a different refractive index than a refractive index of the color resin to reflect the emitted light at a boundary of the light path modulator and the color resin towards the lower reflector.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a display device comprises a display panel and a backlight unit. The backlight unit comprises a printed circuit, a light-emitting device on the printed circuit, and a transparent film including a holographic film. The holographic film includes at least an optical pattern overlapping the light-emitting device and modifying angle of a portion of light emitted by the light-emitting device. The backlight unit further comprises a light output pattern, where the portion of light with the modified angle passes through the light output pattern toward the display panel. The light output pattern may have a refractive index greater than a refractive index of the transparent film such that a refraction angle of the portion of light exiting the light output pattern is less than the incidence angle of the portion of light entering the light output pattern.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a color conversion sheet, a backlight unit, and a display device, in which a reflection filter exhibiting transflection with respect to blue light may be disposed on a color conversion layer that excites blue light and then emits green light and red light and in which a reflection filter exhibiting total reflection of green light and red light may be disposed under the color conversion layer, thereby increasing the probability of exciting blue light and the amount of green light and red light emitted forwards, so that the efficiency of the color conversion sheet can be improved. In addition, it is possible to prevent a halo caused by the diffusion of light scattered backwards and to increase the brightness provided by the backlight unit by causing the light scattered backwards to be reflected forwards from the position adjacent to the color conversion layer.
