    Abstract: A liquid crystal display includes a frame rate control (FRC) device which adds an FRC compensation value to digital video data using a plurality of FRC patterns defining subpixels, to which the FRC compensation value will be written, and a data driving circuit which converts the digital video data received from the FRC device into a data voltage and invert a polarity of the data voltage based on a previously determined inversion method. The FRC device counts frame periods and increases a frame count value each time the frame period changes. The FRC device changes to a next FRC pattern in previously determined order in response to the frame count value, and holds or skips the frame count value when the frame period reaches a previously determined time.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including a pixel arranged thereon, a data driver configured to modulate video data to supply a data voltage to the pixel through a data line, a switching component configured to be turned on in response to a parking voltage enable signal to supply a parking voltage to the pixel, and a timing controller configured to control the data driver and the switching component to apply the data voltage to the pixel during a refresh period of a frame and the parking voltage to the pixel during one or more hold periods following the refresh period, wherein the timing controller adjusts a parking period for applying the parking voltage based on the luminance of the video data.
