    Abstract: A backlight unit and a display device are provided. The duty or the like of a light source driving signal is adjusted so that a frequency component causing flicker to be visible, among frequency components of luminance appearing in a driving period of low-speed driving mode. Flicker is prevented or reduced in the low-speed driving mode. The display device is driven in the low-speed driving mode to reduce power consumption. The display device is driven at a lower display driving frequency in the low-speed driving mode, thereby improving the efficiency thereof.

    Abstract: A touch display device can sense a fingerprint touch using a pixel electrode and a data line. Before a capacitance variance of the pixel electrode in a fingerprint touch sensing interval is sensed, the voltage of only the data line is fixed to be identical to a voltage applied to a (+) terminal of an operational amplifier of a fingerprint touch sensing unit so that a capacitance variance of the data line is not transferred to the fingerprint touch sensing unit, and a capacitance variance of only the pixel electrode may be transferred. The capacitance variance of only the pixel electrode, not including the capacitance variance of the data line, is transferred to the fingerprint touch sensing unit so that the distinction between a peak and a valley of a fingerprint touching a display panel is enhanced. Therefore, a fingerprint touch sensing performance can be improved.

    Abstract: A gate driver circuit, a display panel, and a display device. A number of emission start signals, with at least one a delay time, a pulse width, or a combination thereof, are supplied in a frame period in which display driving is performed at a low driving frequency. This decreases a degree by which luminance appearing in the frame period is reduced, or changes characteristics of frequency components of luminance, thereby preventing flicker from being observed. The display driving is performed at the low driving frequency reduces power consumption, and is performed at a lower driving frequency to improve the efficiency of the display device.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a touch display device, a touch sensing system, and a touch sensing method. More specifically, touch information (fingerprint information or touch position information) may be acquired in response to current flowing in a data line through a touch sensing mode period that includes: a first period in which an optical sensor, the opposite ends of which are connected to a source node and a drain node of a switching transistor, is disposed in a pixel region, a gate signal of a turn-on level voltage is supplied to a gate line and a driving voltage is supplied to the data line; and a second period in which a gate signal of a turn-off level voltage is supplied to the gate line, a reference voltage is supplied to the data line, and an optical sensor is irradiated with light. According to the present disclosure, it is possible to accurately sense a touch position and/or a fingerprint in an optical manner using an optical sensor without being influenced by parasitic capacitance.

    Abstract: Provided is a driving circuit included in a touch display device, which is capable of performing display driving, touch sensing, and additional sensing in addition to the touch sensing. The driving circuit includes a common electrode driving controller, a pixel electrode driving controller, and a sending unit. The common electrode driving controller is configured to apply a common voltage to a common electrode during a display-driving period. The pixel electrode driving controller is configured to apply a data voltage to a pixel electrode during the display-driving period. The sensing unit is connected to the common electrode driving controller during a first sensing period and to the pixel electrode driving controller during a second sensing period. The sensing unit is configured to sense a change in capacitance between the common electrode or pixel electrode and an object that is in contact with the display panel.
