Abstract: An electroluminescent display device according to an example embodiment of the present disclosure may include a substrate including an active area having an emission area and a non-active area, a planarization layer disposed on the substrate, a light emitting element disposed on the planarization layer, a buffer layer disposed on the light emitting element and having a plurality of holes in a surface thereof and a hydrogen trap layer disposed on the buffer layer. As a result, by preventing hydrogen inflow into an oxide thin film transistor, characteristics and reliability of the thin film transistor can be improved.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure relate to a display device and a method for manufacturing the same and may enhance the reliability of the display device by reducing the inflow path of harmful gases. The device includes an emission area and a non-emission area. The device includes a first and a second planarization layer. The second planarization layer includes a first opening in the emission area and a second opening in the non-emission area. The device includes an anode electrode on the second planarization layer, a light emitting layer, and a cathode electrode. The device includes a bank layer disposed in a portion of the emission area and at least a partial area on the first planarization layer and the second planarization layer in the non-emission area, and including at least one trench positioned in the second opening.
