Abstract: A portable electronic device according to the present disclosure comprises: a memory for storing moving image data; a touch screen for receiving a touch input related to a summation of the moving image data; and a control unit for generating a summary of the moving image data in response to the touch input, wherein the control unit extracts objects included in the moving image data, detects a section in which at least one object among the extracted objects appears and then disappears, and generates a summary of the moving image data by editing the moving image data on the basis of the detected section.
