    Abstract: A refrigerator includes a cabinet in which a storage chamber is formed, a cooler configured to cool the storage chamber, a heater configured to heat the storage chamber, a temperature sensor configured to sense a storage chamber temperature, and a controller configured to control the cooler and the heater, in which the controller selectively performs a plurality of modes, the plurality of modes include a cooling mode in which the cooler is operated or stopped, a heating mode in which the heater is operated or stopped, and a standby mode in which the cooler and the heater are stopped, and the plurality of modes are performed in the order of the cooling mode, the standby mode, and heating mode, or are performed in the order of the heating mode, the standby mode, and the cooling mode.

    Abstract: A refrigerator according to an embodiment includes: a duct dividing the inside of a storage compartment body into a storage compartment and an air channel and having a main discharge port and a sub-discharge port; an air guide dividing the air channel into a first channel communicating with the main discharge port and a second channel guiding air in the first channel to the sub-discharge port; a heat exchanger provided in the first channel; and a fan suctioning air in the storage compartment and sending the air to the first channel. According to the refrigerator, it is possible to maximize the volume of the storage compartment and separately discharge air to the main discharge port and the sub-discharge port, using a simple structure.

    Abstract: A method for controlling a refrigerator includes turning on a compressor to operate with a predetermined cooling power for cooling a storage compartment, turning off the compressor when a temperature of the storage compartment reaches a temperature equal to or lower than a first reference temperature, and turning on the compressor again when the temperature of the storage compartment reaches a temperature equal to or higher than a second reference temperature higher than the first reference temperature. In the turning on the compressor again, the compressor is operated with a cooling power determined based on an on slope, which is a temperature change slope of the storage compartment during an on time of the compressor, and an off slope, which is a temperature change slope of the storage compartment during an off time of the compressor.

    Abstract: A refrigerator and a method for controlling the same may be provided. The refrigerator includes a compressor, a condenser condensing the refrigerant compressed in the compressor, a refrigerant tube for guiding the refrigerant condensed in the condenser, a flow adjustment part coupled to the refrigerant tube to divide the refrigerant into a plurality of refrigerant passages, a plurality of expansion devices respectively disposed in the plurality of refrigerant passages to decompress the refrigerant condensed in the condenser, a plurality of evaporators evaporating the refrigerant decompressed in the plurality of expansion devices, and a supercooling heat exchanger disposed at an outlet-side of the condenser to supercool the refrigerant. The refrigerant supercooled in the supercooling heat exchanger may be introduced into the flow adjustment part.

    Abstract: A refrigerator and a method for controlling a refrigerator, including a plurality of compressors and a plurality of evaporators disposed on inlet-sides of the plurality of compressors to supply cool air to a refrigerating compartment and a freezing compartment includes determining whether a temperature of the refrigerating compartment belongs to a refrigerating compartment satisfaction range, determining an indoor temperature when the temperature of the refrigerating compartment does not belong to the refrigerating compartment satisfaction range, and determining whether a load corresponding operation condition is satisfied when the determined indoor temperature belongs to a set range. When the load corresponding operation condition is satisfied, a simultaneous operation of the refrigerating compartment and the freezing compartment is performed, and when the load corresponding operation condition is not satisfied, a cooling operation of the refrigerating compartment is performed.

    Abstract: A refrigerator includes a compressor compressing a refrigerant, a condenser condensing the refrigerant compressed in the compressor, a refrigerant tube guiding a flow of the refrigerant condensed in the condenser, an expansion device decompressing the refrigerant condensed in the condenser, and an evaporator evaporating the refrigerant decompressed in the expansion device.
