    Abstract: A dual rotor-type motor according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a stator around which a coil is wound; an outer rotor; and an inner rotor, wherein the inner rotor and the outer rotor have different initial angles, and thus the inner rotor and the outer rotor are misaligned from each other corresponding to the difference between the initial angles thereof. Therefore, the present invention can reduce torque ripple by a relatively simple method, and thus can improve efficiency of a motor and reduce vibration and noise.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a power converting device, and more particularly, to a power converting device capable of protecting a compressor from overheat, a compressor including the same, and a control method thereof. The device includes an inverter for generating an alternate current for driving the motor using power supplied from a power supply, the inverter including a plurality of switching elements; a driver for driving the plurality of switching elements; a variable resistance unit disposed between and electrically coupled to the driver and a gate of each of the switching elements, wherein the variable resistance unit has a resistance value inversely proportional to a temperature of the inverter; and a controller configured for transferring a drive signal to the driver.

    Abstract: An electric motor having a permanent magnet and a compressor including an electric motor are provided. The electric motor may include a stator; and a rotor rotatably disposed and spaced a predetermined gap apart from the stator. The rotor may include a rotational shaft, a permanent magnet arranged concentrically to the rotational shaft, and a permanent magnet support that supports the permanent magnet. The permanent magnet may have a cylindrical shape and be magnetized to have polar anisotropy such that a magnetic field is formed on the magnet's surface facing the gap but is not formed on the magnet's surface opposite to the gap. The permanent magnet support may be configured to form no flux path in the permanent magnet and connect the rotational shaft to the permanent magnet. Thus, the rotor has a reduced weight with consequent suppression of vibration and noise.

    Abstract: A dual rotor-type motor, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a stator having a coil wound therearound; an outer rotor; and an inner rotor, wherein the stator comprises inner teeth facing the inner rotor, and outer teeth facing the outer rotor, wherein the inner teeth are misaligned in a rotating direction by as much as an angle configured with respect to the outer teeth, and thus the present invention may enable the reduction of a torque ripple to a satisfying level, even without having to change the design of the stator structure into a complicated form.

    Abstract: An electric motor includes a stator, and a rotor spaced apart from the stator by a gap. The rotor includes a first magnet that generates first magnetic flux, that includes first magnetic portions arranged in a circumferential direction of the rotor, and that are configured to generate a magnetic field in the gap, and second magnetic portions that are alternately arranged with the plurality of first magnetic portions along the circumferential direction of the rotor. The rotor further includes a plurality of second magnets that are each located between a first magnetic portion of the first magnetic portions and a second magnetic portion of the second magnetic portions that is adjacent to the first magnetic portion, where each second magnet generates second magnetic flux that is greater than the first magnetic flux, and the first magnet is located radially between the gap and the plurality of second magnets.
