    Abstract: A cylinder block for a compressor includes: a shaft support configured to support a rotary shaft of an outer rotor type motor; a first support that is arranged radially outward of the shaft support and that extends along a circumferential direction about a center of the shaft support; a second support that is arranged radially outward of the first support and that extends along the circumferential direction about the center of the shaft support; a third support that connects the first support to the second support; a cylinder portion that defines a cylindrical inner space at a position radially away from the center of the shaft support; and a noise chamber defined at at least one side of the cylinder portion.

    Abstract: A hermetic compressor includes: a compression unit; a motor unit; a crankshaft that connects the motor unit and the compression unit; and a bearing member provided with a shaft receiving hole so as to support the crankshaft in a radial direction. An oil supply groove that defines a part of an oil supply passage is formed on an outer circumferential surface of the crankshaft, and the oil supply groove is provided between the outer circumferential surface of the crankshaft and an inner circumferential surface of the bearing member facing the outer circumferential surface of the crankshaft to be located out of pressed regions generated when the crankshaft rotates. As the oil supply groove that supplies oil to a bearing surface between the crankshaft and a main bearing is formed by avoiding the pressed regions, oil may be smoothly supplied to the bearing surface.

    Abstract: A hermetic compressor equipped with a valve assembly may include a valve plate having one suction port and a plurality of discharge ports; a suction valve provided at a first surface of the valve plate; a discharge valve provided at a second surface of the valve plate and having one fixing portion and a plurality of opening and closing portions that extends from the one fixing portion to respectively open and close the plurality of discharge ports; and a valve stopper that is fixed to the valve plate and limits a degree of opening of the opening and closing portions of the discharge valve. Accordingly, the opening and closing portions of the discharge valve may be reduced in size to thereby reduce inertia of the discharge valve. Thus, response of the discharge valve may be increased while simplifying a structure and assembly of the discharge valve.

    Abstract: A compressor according to the present disclosure may include a bearing member located out of a range in an axial direction of a rotor. Accordingly, the bearing member and the rotor cannot overlap each other so as to reduce a bearing area. This may result in reducing a frictional loss of the compressor and ensuring a press-fit length of the rotor, so as to prevent interference between the rotor and a stator. Also, an area of an oil passage can be increased without an increase in the frictional loss, resulting in an increase in an amount of oil supplied.
