Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a substrate having an image display part; a metal line on the substrate; an insulating film on the metal line; a passivation film on the insulating film; a semiconductor layer for increasing the adhesive bond between the insulating film and the passivation film; and a sealant pattern of sealant having a path formed along the periphery of the image display part, wherein the insulating film and the passivation layer have a plurality of holes along the path of the sealant pattern.
