Abstract: An apparatus and method for driving a liquid crystal display device are disclosed in the present invention. The liquid crystal display device includes a plurality of data lines in a vertical direction, a plurality of gate lines in a horizontal direction to cross the data lines, and a plurality of liquid crystal cells along with each gate line, wherein one of the data lines applies a video signal to at least three liquid crystal cells.
