摘要： A device is which alerts a fisher of a pull on the line (typically caused by a fish bite) is disclosed. The device includes a triggering arm pivotally mounted and placed between two contacts with fishing line placed under the arm. The arm acts to electrically isolate the two contacts when placed between them. The device may include a power source and one or more switches for an audible and/or visual alarm. The two contacts are part of the electrical circuit and complete the circuit when they touch. If a fish bites, the tension on the line will cause the upward movement of the non-conductive arm, allowing the contacts to touch and close the circuit to cause an alert that may be audible and/or visual.
