摘要： Systems, methods, and articles for performing document intake, such as intake of legal documents. The systems disclosed herein receive pages of documents, automatically group the pages to identify documents in a legal matter, and automatically update a status of the legal matter based on the identified documents. This is achieved by one or more of receiving a file which contains one or more pages, grouping the pages, determining a document type for each group, obtaining a plurality of phases for a legal matter, assigning a phase to each group, and organizing the groups based on the assigned phase for each group.
