摘要: The present invention relates to an improvement in screw extrusion apparatus for handling resinous thermoplastic and similar materials, which has a portion of the length of the screw supplied with protuberances rising from the root of the screw and terminating in an outer surface spaced from the extruder bore giving intensive high shear treatment to the process material in the space therebetween with a dynamic volumetric treating capacity in this space greater than one and one half times the total throughput rate and between these protuberances passageways for separating and recombining of material to effect low shear high volume mixing.
