摘要: A bushing includes an interior surface, an exterior surface, a first end, and a second end. An end face forms at least part of each of the first end and the second end. At least one of the exterior surface and the end face includes a sealing surface formed at least in part of a coating including a material having a hardness level greater than about 1200 Knoop. The sealing surface has a thickness greater than about 35 microns and an average roughness (Ra) less than about 0.25 micron. In one embodiment, the bushing may be used on an endless track for a track-type work machine.

摘要: A method of forming a composite overlay compound on a substrate includes forming a mixture including at least one component from a first group of component materials including titanium, chrome, tungsten, vanadium, niobium, and molybdenum. The mixture also includes at least one component from a second group of component materials including carbon and boron, and the mixture further includes at least one component from a third group of component materials including silicon, nickel, and manganese. The mixture of selected component materials is then applied to a substrate material to form an overlay compound on the substrate material. The overlay compound is fused to the substrate to form a metallurgical bond between the substrate material and the overlay compound.

摘要: The life of ceramic SPF dies can be enhanced significantly by plasma spray application of a cordierite glaze on the forming surface. The preferred glaze has a coefficient of thermal expansion close to or matching with the ceramic of the die, and, typically, is a 2•2•5 MAS system including 2-10 mol % TiO2 (or above 8 wt %).
