Abstract: A connecting rod for an internal combustion engine includes a first portion and a second portion respectively associated with a head and a foot. The portions are configured to slide relative to each other along the longitudinal axis of the connecting rod so as to form a variable-length connecting rod. The connecting rod comprises an indexing device of the first and second portions to ensure both of the portions are given a specific relative orientation. The indexing device comprises a first element, which is rigidly connected to the first portion and supported by the head of the connecting rod.
