Abstract: A livestock enclosure is bounded by a generally-circular upright wall covered by a roof. Centrally located is a pit for receiving defecation and other litter. An annular imperforate floor extends outwardly from the pit toward the wall and is exposed for direct access to and walking upon by the livestock. An elongated sweep means radially extends from a pivotal mount at the pit center for lateral movement circularly around and over the floor in order to engage litter on the floor and propel the same toward and into the pit. Surrounding the swept floor but still within the enclosure is a nesting region. For inducing the livestock to defecate only on the swept floor, the nesting area is raised above the level of the floor and air circulation is caused to occur so as to encourage the livestock to respect their nesting region. Various structural arrangements are included to facilitate supply of the enclosure materials in a form that permits easy erection by the user without the need for specialized tools or equipment.
