摘要： A method and a device for internally locating leaks in a pipeline and sealing the leak without interrupting the normal use of the pipe. The device has a tubular rigid body which is open at both ends and is covered on the outside by an inflatable sleeve which can be pressurized to seal off a liquid-tight cavity between the pipe wall and the sleeve surface. The pipe is tested for leaks by pressurizing the cavity with a test liquid and thereafter observing the pressure drop to determine if a leak is present. If a leak is discovered, a settable liquid sealant is forced into the cavity filling the leak.
