Abstract: A method and system that accounts for appearance changes in an object, attributable to object deformation or restoration, is disclosed. The system includes an object deformation prediction database. The object deformation prediction database is accessible as a function of the type of the object. The object deformation prediction database can identify one or more ways in which the type of object, and thus the object, is deformable to or restorable from a reference appearance that is depicted in a particular sub-region of an object.
