Abstract: A system and method for fulfilling a customer order including a desired quantity of portable communication devices. The method includes receiving the customer order, receiving at least one unique identifier for each of the portable communication devices of the desired quantity, and transmitting each of the at least one unique identifier to a provisioning server, from the order processing management computer. The method further includes associating the at least one unique identifier with a subscription to a service network of a mobile virtual network operator, transmitting the at least one unique identifier to the mobile virtual network operator to activate an integrated circuit card for each of the portable communication device, receiving updated subscription information for each of the portable communication devices, and transmitting, the updated subscription information for each of the portable communication devices to the device management server, via the provisioning server.

Abstract: A method and system for preparing a portable communication device for onboarding to a service network. The system includes a provisioning server, a device management server, and a factory computer. The factory computer is configured to call the provisioning server with a message that includes at least one unique identifier of the portable communication device and a certificate signing request. The provisioning server is configured to store the at least one unique identifier, register, using the at least one unique identifier, the portable communication device with the device management server, and transmit, in response to the message from the factory computer, a signed certificate and an endpoint address to the factory computer.
