    摘要: A spliced ink-jet head including head chips, each of which is capable of discharging inks of two or more colors, and which are spliced in a staggered manner which restrains the occurrence of splice streaks, white streaks caused by deflection at ends or uneven colors attributable to different landing orders of ink droplets in spliced portions of different colors when one-pass recording is carried out. The head chips is arranged such that, in a relationship between two adjoining head chips, at least one discharge port of one head chip and one discharge port of the other head chip for the same color tone ink in end portions overlap on a line in a recording material feeding direction, while discharge ports for different color tone inks do not overlap.

    摘要: The color filter manufacturing method for improving precision in correcting color unevenness of a screen surface by eliminating the influence of measurement errors and variance in the ink discharge amount, includes the steps of: coloring a coloring-target medium, using at least two different ink discharge densities, and measuring color densities of colored portions of the coloring-target medium; obtaining a relationship between the color density and ink discharge density based on the respective color densities of the colored portions colored by the at least two different ink discharge densities and corresponding ink discharge densities; and determining an ink discharge density which attains a desired color density based on the obtained relationship between the color density and ink discharge density, and discharging ink onto the color filter substrate at the determined ink discharge density, thereby coloring the color filter substrate.

    摘要: A color filter manufacturing apparatus can manufacture a color filter with less color unevenness in a short period of time. The color filter manufacturing apparatus forms an array of colored portions of a color filter by discharging a plurality of inks from a plurality of discharge orifices at a predetermined density by using an ink-jet head having a plurality of discharge orifices, an ink chamber connected to the plurality of discharge orifices, an ink supply opening for supplying ink to the ink chamber, and an ink exit opening for exiting ink from the ink chamber. The color filter manufacturing apparatus comprises an ink flow generating device for generating a flow of ink from the ink supply opening to the ink exit opening in the ink chamber while discharging ink from the discharge orifices for coloring. The colored portions are formed when a variation rate of ink volume discharged from the plurality of discharge orifices for forming the array of colored portions is ±3% or less.
