For operation of the device an electronic controller is provided on which the vaporizing period of the vaporizer and a pause interval can be set, with provisions being made for triggering the beginning of the vaporizing operation by means of a pressure sensor responsive to a suction pressure in the mouthpiece.

An adjusting mechanism acting on the corrugation disc is mounted on the corrugation head. The adjusting mechanism serves for radially adjusting the corrugation disc and is adjustable by the support. The support is connected to a second electric motor serving for rotating the support about the axis (A) of the corrugation head.

The spindle with the tool is position-adjustable by linear movement of the guide slides along the tracks whereby the tool supported by the coupler links which are longer than the distance between the two guide tracks can cover also areas at opposite sides of the two parallel guide tracks.
