摘要: A vehicle seat for use with a vehicle includes a seatback frame having a first locking element, and a head restraint arrangement movably associated with the seatback frame. The head restraint arrangement includes a second locking element that is engageable with the first locking element. Upon a sufficient impact to the vehicle, the head restraint arrangement is configured to move with respect to the seatback frame from an initial position toward a support position. Furthermore, the locking elements are configured to allow movement of the head restraint arrangement toward the support position, while inhibiting movement toward the initial position.

摘要: A seat is disclosed herein. The seat includes a seat cushion frame assembly. The seat also includes a seat cushion mounted on the seat cushion frame assembly for pivoting movement about a cushion pivoting axis. The seat also includes a cushion lock operably disposed to selectively lock the seat cushion frame assembly and the seat cushion relative to one another and thereby prevent the pivoting movement. The cushion lock defines a plurality of locked positions such that the seat cushion is positionable in a plurality of different orientations relative to the seat cushion frame assembly.

摘要: An active head restraint system is disclosed with an actuator, a sensor, and a controller. The controller receives an impact signal from a triggering element, receives the position of an occupant's head, actuates the head restraint to move towards the occupant's head, and controls actuation to optimize head restraint movement as the head restraint moves proximate to the occupant's head. In another embodiment, the controller also manipulates head restraint velocity to optimize the velocity toward the occupant's head. Also presented is a method for actuating an active head restraint system for a vehicle seat. The method includes sending an impact signal to a controller, receiving the position of an occupant's head, transmitting the received position of the occupant's head to a controller, actuating the head restraint to move towards the occupant's head, and controlling head restraint actuation to optimize head restraint movement as it moves proximate to the occupant's head.

摘要: A vehicle seat assembly is provided with a seat frame adapted to be mounted within a vehicle. The seat frame has a tubular upper cross member. A bracket member is mounted to the tubular upper cross member of the seat frame. The bracket member has a pair of fulcrum bushings integrally formed therein. The bracket member is attached to onto the tubular upper cross member by an interference fit. At least one support rod is sized to be received within each of the pair of fulcrum bushings. At least one head restraint post is sized to be received within the at least one support rod. An active head restraint is mounted to the at least one head restraint post.

摘要: An active head restraint system is disclosed with an actuator, a sensor, and a controller. 摘要: A seat bottom fame assembly providing a support surface for a vehicular seat includes first and second track assemblies. The first track assembly is fixedly secured to a floor of a passenger compartment. The second track assembly is slidingly connected to the first track assembly. A manually actuated seat adjuster is attached to the first and second track assemblies to permit selective sliding of the second track assembly with respect to the first track assembly. The manually actuated seat adjuster includes a rotatable driveshaft having first and second ends. A drive nut is threadingly engaged with the driveshaft between the first and second ends. A first element is fixedly secured to the first end of the driveshaft. A second element is rotatably mounted on the first end of the driveshaft and selectively engaged with the first element. An actuation member is operatively connected to the second element to selectively disengage the second element from the first element to permit rotation of the driveshaft within the drive nut. The actuation member also selectively engages the second element with the first element to prevent rotation of the driveshaft within the drive nut.
