摘要： A method, apparatus, and article of manufacture for generating program specifications for a computer program that accesses datastore persistent objects materialized from a datastore. A "wizard" or "task guide" is displayed on a monitor attached to a computer, wherein the wizard comprises a step-by-step procedure for creating the program specifications. Operator input is accepted into the computer in response to the step-by-step procedure and the program specifications are created using the operator input.
