    摘要： An image forming apparatus and an electronic device for outputting data to the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus comprises an interface for inputting single bit image data and a command from an external device, a first store for storing the single bit image data, a second store for receiving and storing color data for coloring the single bit image data, and an image forming device for forming a color image on the basis of the data in the first and second stores. The electronic device includes a first output for outputting single bit image data, a second output for outputting a color number for one pixel of color image data, and a third output for outputting both first multi-level color component data for the single bit image data and second multi-level color component data for the color number.

    摘要： An image forming system for receiving image data from a memory and for forming images onto an image forming medium includes a reducing circuit for reducing stored image data in the memory, and an operation unit for displaying a plurality of images onto a display screen by the reducing circuit and for selecting a plurality of arbitrary images from the plurality of images displayed. A printer forms images of the image data selected by the operation unit and designates in the memory desired positions of the image forming medium.

    摘要： An image processing system includes a printer engine (3) corresponding to one or both of binary and multi-value data, and a plurality of memory devices (1a, 1b) for storing bit map data and supplying a binary or multi-value video signal to the printer engine, and an interface (7) for connecting the plurality of memory devices (1a, 1b) to the engine (3). Binary or multi-value data is read out from an arbitrary memory device, two different binary data, two different multi-value data, or binary data and multi-value data are synthesized, and the synthesized data is printed. Processing, which is conventionally performed by a single memory device, can be separately performed by the plurality of memory devices, thus increasing the processing speed. Various processing operations such as binary-multi-value synthesizing processing can easily be performed.
