摘要： A system, computer-implemented method and computer-readable medium for distributing and accessing media content of a magazine edition are provided. A distributing user selects content to distribute and selects a distribution application. The distribution application generates and transmits to a receiving user a distribution message that includes a link with information about the location of the content and how to display it. The receiving user receives the distribution message and uses the location information to access the content. The content may be accessed in a variety of ways depending on the type of hardware that is used by the receiving user and choices made by the receiving user.

An edition player is configured to receive a magazine edition, the magazine edition including a layout template for rendering edition content. The edition player is further configured to receive edition content subscribed to by the magazine edition, the edition content provided by a content source. The edition player then integrates the edition content within the magazine edition using the layout template to lay out the edition content based on a specification of the mobile device. The edition player then renders the edition content within the magazine edition.

摘要： Methods and systems for providing magazine edition recommendations are provided. Categories associated with retrieved magazine edition articles are analyzed. A magazine edition profile is generated for each magazine edition based on the categories for each of the retrieved articles of the corresponding magazine edition. The categories of magazine edition profiles are compared to categories of a profile of a user, wherein the user profile is based on categories of articles viewed by the user. A magazine edition recommendation based on the comparing is provided for display to the user. The edition recommendation may be a link or section of shown in a view of magazine edition content on a mobile device of the user. A user may be provided a convenient way to subscribe to the recommended magazine edition. A personalized magazine edition recommendation of highest ranked articles may also be provided.

摘要： A system, computer-implemented method and computer-readable medium for displaying edition content of a magazine edition are provided. In a method embodiment, a virtual pixel space is generated based on the configuration of a screen of a mobile device. Data structures that include the edition content in a plurality of items, and a template associated with the magazine edition are received. Display elements in the HTML document are generated by replacing the references from the template with corresponding portions of the edition content included in the items in the data structures. The edition content is generated, based on the display elements of the HTML document, on the virtual pixel space as to be rendered on the screen of the mobile device in the magazine edition.

Display screen information is obtained for a mobile device, including resolution and screen dimensions.
