Abstract: A medical implant fixation device including a non-bioresorbable material sized and configured to one from the group consisting of receive and surround the medical implant and be affixed to a surface of the medical implant. A plurality of bioresorbable fixation projections extend from the non-bioresorbable material and at least one from the group consisting of the plurality of bioresorbable fixation projections and the non-bioresorbable material are coated with at least one anti-infection drug.
