Abstract: A computer-implemented method for transport adaptive range packing may include (i) buffering a lane of pixel data, wherein the lane comprises a collection of pixel array tiles, (ii) analyzing the lane of pixel data for sparse data and determining, based on the analysis, whether a lossless compression of the lane would be smaller than a predetermined threshold, (iii) performing lossless compression on the lane of pixel data if a result of the lossless compression would take up less space than the predetermined threshold of space, and (iv) performing lossy compression on the lane of pixel data if a result of the lossless compression would take up more space than the predetermined threshold of space. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

Abstract: A method for realigning components of image-projection systems for a head-wearable devices is described herein. The method includes, while an image is being presented to the user's first eye using a first image-projection system of a head-wearable device and the image is being presented to a user's second eye using a second image-projection system of the head-wearable device, selecting one or both of (i) a selected point in time at which to present a realignment pattern via the head-wearable device and (ii) a selected location within the image at which the realignment pattern should be presented. The method further includes, presenting, via the head-wearable device, the realignment pattern at one or both of the selected point in time and the selected location. The method further includes, modifying presentation characteristics for the first image-projection system or the second image-projection system based on the presenting of the realignment pattern.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes accessing, from a client system associated with a first user, multiple surfaces in an artificial reality scene, wherein the multiple surfaces are projected for display to the first user based on an eye pose of the first user; capturing a frame of the real-world environment while displaying the artificial reality scene to the first user, wherein the captured frame of the real-world environment is associated with a camera pose; reprojecting the multiple surfaces based on the camera pose; generating an aligned artificial reality scene based on the reprojected multiple surfaces and the captured frame of the real-world environment; and sending the aligned artificial reality scene to a second user for display.

Abstract: In one embodiment, one or more computing systems may determine a first display content to be displayed on a display. The first display content may be associated with one or more frames. The one or more computing systems may determine an optimization operation for the first display content based on one or more first parameters associated with the display or one or more second parameters associated with the one or more frames. The one or more computing systems may adjust the one or more frames based on the optimization operation. The adjusted one or more frames may have at least one optimized attribute comparing to the one or more frames before being adjusted. The one or more computing systems may output the adjusted one or more frames to the display to represent the first display content.
