The first sponsored content item is stored separately in a memory of a cloud-based service from the host electronic document. The data processing system further implements determining that the first user has permission to share the first sponsored content item with other users of the cloud-based service, generating sponsor information to associate the sponsored content item with the host electronic document to permit users having access to the host electronic document to access the sponsored content item, and storing the sponsor information in a sponsored access datastore.

A list of one or more links created for providing remote access to one or more files can be obtained, where the one or more links can be of a universal resource locator (URL) format. A web search for at least a portion of the URL format of the one or more links can be performed. Results of the web search can be analyzed to determine whether at least the portion of the URL format of the one or more links is located. Where at least the portion of the URL format of the one or more links is located in the web search, a report indicating that the one or more links are located in the web search can be generated and/or the one or more links can be at least temporarily deactivated.

    摘要: A system enabling smart versioning of files is provided. Techniques disclosed herein enable a system to snap to new versions of a file based on one or more measures of user interactions with the file. For instance, a system can create a new version number for a file based on an amount of time a user has spent editing the file, a number of saves that have occurred, and/or a quantity of data applied to edits of the file. The techniques disclosed herein can also utilize telemetry data to fine tune weightings that are applied to data measuring specific types user activity to provide results that best serve a range of use scenarios and file types. By providing version numbers of a file that are based on user interactions, a system can provide more meaningful version numbers that are aligned with the contents of a file.
